Lisa Brown has over 15 years
experience working as a professional artist. She holds a B.F.A.,
specializing in realism, oil painting, and portraiture, as well as a Masters
in Counseling.
Currently residing in
Baltimore, MD, she has worked in her home state of MI, as well as FL, OH,
Austria, and now in VA, DC, and MD. She has taught as a college art
professor for Franciscan University in both Steubenville, OH, and Gaming,
Austria, and currently teaches a Fine Arts course for Pepperdine
University's Seaver College in Arlington, VA.
She has an extensive and
colorful range of work experience -- from gilding the living room of a Saudi
prince, to painting a mural for a rescue mission in inner city Detroit, to
presenting ten commissioned portraits to Pope John Paul II at World Youth
Day in Toronto, Canada.
Her portfolio is full of
variety from elegant Old World style to whimsical children's themes, and she
is as comfortable with detailed, photo-realistic canvas painting as she is
with large scale ceiling murals.
And she hopes that St. Francis
would consider her to be an artist...
